A comic series I started based on me and my sisters gaming adventures staring our respective original characters. I will be posting them here as well from now on as well as my DeviantArt.
See previous entries and bigger images at my DA gallery here.
Home of The Citizens Mind (outside youtube) and my other works. Only classy, hat-wearing persons need apply. Note: I'm still getting to grips with HTML so this page will be WIP for a while.

Like I Promised
Double meaning...oh my god! Double meaning!
First off, there two webcomics I thought I'd try vand spread the word of. Firstly, a daily updated Silent Hill fancomic called "Silent Hill: Promise" (see what I did?!). Created by Greer-The-Raven on DeviantArt, the audience has a great deal of input whereby they leave commnents to suggest the characters next course of action. If you ever wanted a worthy sequel to Silent Hill 2, this is as close as it gets! Go read it fo'!

Plus there's Frontier: 2170 by fellow blogger and IGMB regular Julian Sharps. Looks great and I will get round to reading it!

Last but certainly not least, episode 7 of The Citizens Mind is now locked and uploaded. I'm not doing any more episodes over 10 minutes, my poor, lousy proccessor just can't take it.

I love the BBC
No seriously. Life on Mars, Ashes to Ashes both were the absolute bomb. Series 3 of Being Human is simply amazing!
Watch it now!
The BBC, NHS. As much as you may have to say against them, the indomitable nature of publically funded organisations is undeniable. The BBC being publically funded means less tatty, cheap shows made simply to get your ratings and more high quality viewing actually meant to entertain and inform.
I just hope to god ITV never gets Doctor Who.
Episode 7 has been rendered and Episode 8 filmed. Expect the former to be up in the next week.
Peices out amigos!

Moar game updates
Well, even though I know few people will actually read this despite having flagged my blog on my youtube (godamnit man! You have 20 subscribers, get real!) I feel like I should give an update post. Progress on Episode 7 was halted earlier this week as I felt (and still feel to some extent) like a heavy headed, sore throat-ed, snot factory with a hacking cough. This obviously had a less-than-desirable effect on my voice. But lo and behold, I have continued and I'll most certainly get the next episode uploaded within the next two weeks.
Finished Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. Still a great game, even if there's alot of build-up to a very disappointing climax.
Silent Hill 2 and 3 are indeed fantastic examples of the horror genre at it's best and most sophisticated. I can't play sustained sessions of the game and find myself playing 20 - 30 minutes everyday, well...20 - 30 nerve shredding minutes.I'm such a wuss. I'd summarise the differences between the two games as thus, Silent Hill 2 has the best cast, storyline and atmopshere in any game. This is just my opinion but Silent Hill 3 actually scares me more (I played about an hour of it and haven't touched the game in 3 weeks) whereas I've clocked up 4 hours 30 minutes on Silent Hill 2. I guess it's because Silent Hill 3 seems more claustrophobic in the way that there's not so much of the open air outdoor sections. Plus I think the horror is of the more shocking variety of "under your skin" scares. Many fans may disagree with me on that but that's my opinion.
I got Mercenaries to work but it can be rather...tempermental.

Delay
The production of Episode 7 of The Citizens Mind is currently on hold on account of an affliction of my chest and throat. Not fun.

A Fine Line
Guess what! Episode 6 decided to actually upload! *is happy*
It only took 9 seperate attempts...
Be entertained!!!
In other news, those games I got off amazon arrived in the last week! *more happy!*
Here's my initial assessments:
-Metro 2033: Extremely atmospheric, beautiful environments, the feeling of claustrophobia and fear in the tunnels of Moscow is unreal. The amount of detail in the environments almost makes my gaming rig rapture on itself. Only downside being that those aren't real russian accents...
-Fallout New Vegas: Excellent! Excellent! Loved Fallout 3, am engaged to New Vegas! Though it may bear resemblence to Fallout 3 in gameplay, the atmosphere and mood of the setting I'm loving, plus the mind-feck nature of some of the random encounters are just friggin' epic! I love the connections it makes with the original fallout series as well. I play on hardcore mode, because vanilla New Vegas iz for tiny baby man!
-Silent Hill 3: Scares the living s**t out of me, I tend to play it in 20 minute to half hour chunks every day or so to gather my composure. Already a fantastic survival horror game in my book. Every bit as good as it's cult following would tell you!
-Silent Hill 2: Haven't played it yet. Hoping to get to that tonight.
-Mercenaries Playground of Destruction: One of my favorite ever PS2 titles and was the one I was most looking forward to playing...and my PS2 won't read the fecking disk!!!
-Splinter Cell Chaos Theory: I remember this game fondly. Definately the high point in the series in my opinion. My favorite soundtrack in the series and I felt it expanded on the splinter cell formula in all the right ways in terms of graphics and gameplay. After having played Double Agent and Pandora Tommorrow to the brink of boredom over the last year, Chaos Theory feels every bit as refreshing as the first time I played it.
That is all gentlemen.

Sunburn
Alright! Back in the creative, metaphorical music-video-making saddle!
It took me several weeks to do this as I only have access to a decent gaming computer about 2 or 3 times a week. That includes faceposing and finding the appropriate addons (and getting to grips with Henrys Animation Tool, probably one of the best Garrys Mod machinima tools ever created). I've been wanting to do a Muse music video for a while as they're my favorite band ever (if you've seen my DeviantArt profile this will already be apparent). So I thought, what better way to get creating machinima again.
Also, yesterday I went on Amazon and am now eagerly awaiting the delivery of:
Silent Hill 2
Silent Hill 3
Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
Metro 2033
Fallout New Vegas
I got nostalgic over Christmas so bought a truckload of PS2 games as I'm getting tired of playing Double Agent, Hitman and Black over and over and over and over and over...
Godamnit Royal Mail, go faster!
